Follow the signs...

"Life's full of surprises, life is full of signs." Two phrases that people use constantly,  often times not knowing that in fact we ought to be aware of the signs and make sure we follow the right ones, with its twists and turns. That makes it interesting.

Well, today I'm surrounded by signs, over and over. When I woke up, I decided to review my backpack and everything in it... you know, I'm type A, right? ;) So I did, to my surprise, one little thing I was carrying had something written in its packaging that said "wander the roads ahead".. huh, interesting.  And the closer it got to the time of departure the scarier and truer this trip became. I confess, I talked to my parents like 30 thousand times,  because i just wanted to hear my mom saying "you can do this,  open your eyes and your heart. Keep the faith", and Dad saying " enjoy the moment, enjoy this opportunity and find your way". When Paco was driving me to the airport, we stopped by the bank and the guy that helped me started talking to me about eiros, and pounds and his journey in Europe and that it changed his life. I asked, he said, El Camino. We get to the airport, We say our good byes (or see ya in 40 days) and the couple in front of me asked me if I was going off to school... I said, no, I'm walking el Camino, and guess what? The guy's father did el Camino many years before and wrote a book about it... They invited me to share my experience with them when I get back. So here I am, tearing up, still confused about this thing that I provoked, evoked and all when one of the stewardesses says to me "Buen Camino"... huh?! INTERESTING! Im seated and looking at my stuff over and over, thinking that I was afraid of the answer, when a familiar face walked by, a well known producer/ actor/ writer... am I already being answered? We took off, the captain announces the movie,   the stewardess looked at me and smiled,  as the Captain said "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty"... I started laughing, as a tear rolled down. "To see the World, things dangerous to come to,  to see behind walls, to draw closer, to find each other and to feel; that is the purpose of life". Mt favorite quote from the movie and its whole premise.

Btw, did I mentioned Shirley McLain plays the Walter ' Mom??? Yes, you guessed it, she also did El Camino and wrote about it.  According to her, it changed her view on life...

So many signs and i keep doubting... REALLY????  And to think this is just the begining... ;)
